Wilson School Vision:
Wilson Elementary School provides students with learning experiences to grow academically, socially, and physically toward becoming productive global citizens.
Don't forget - school is closed this Friday, November 11.
Parent-Teacher Conferences
This week is an exciting week at school - one of two "official" opportunities for parents to meet with teachers to discuss your child's progress in school. We typically have 100% attendance at conferences; thank you for your part in strengthening the home-school connection!
Welcome, Laura Davenport!
The next time you're in the Wilson School office, please take a moment to welcome our new secretary, Laura Davenport! Teresa Miller, who has been our fantastic secretary for the past 5½ years, has accepted a new position at the school district's Central Office. While we will miss Teresa and the contributions she has made to our school, we are very pleased with the qualities Laura will bring to the position. She has extensive organizational, technology, and clerical experience, and a Master's degree in elementary education.
From the PTO….
See you at BOOK FAIR this week!
Hours of the Fair are:

Thank you for supporting our library's biggest fundraiser!
Ski and Sport Swap
The PTO will hold its annual Ski & Sport Swap on Saturday, November 19, from 9 - 11 am. This is a great venue to buy and sell ski and sports equipment and clothing for both children and adults, while at the same time supporting the WES Winter Sports Program.
Those wanting to sell equipment or clothing need to check it in at the WES gym on Friday, November 18, from 3 - 6 pm. Sellers are responsible for setting prices for and tagging their own equipment. Volunteers will be on hand to help with this process and to receive equipment once it is tagged. Sellers must be on hand between 11 am and 12 pm following the sale on Saturday in order to be paid for sold items and to pick up any unsold items. Any equipment left after noon on Saturday will be disposed of at the discretion of the volunteers.
While the focus is winter sports, any appropriate sports equipment and clothing in good shape can be sold. The PTO retains 25% of all sales, and proceeds help fund the WES Winter Sports program. The Winter Sports program allows students to experience one of six winter activities (alpine or Nordic skiing, snowboarding, figure skating, hockey or snowshoeing) one afternoon a week for five weeks during the winter season.
We are also still looking for a few volunteers to help out with equipment check-in on Friday from 3 - 6 and with the sale on Saturday from 8:30 to noon. If you are able to help out or have questions, please contact Chris Hansen at 307-690-6457 or
